Prior to the infection Lee’s life had always been simple consisting of school, baseball training, bench warming and then finally out fielding. However, no life can be summarised into four activities, no matter what he would attempt to have people believe.

Left parentless after a car accident, Lee grew up in an orphanage as a lonely but content child. After forging an unlikely friendship with the tomboyish Tenten, Lee seemed to find a greater confidence in himself, becoming even more energetic and zealous than before. Unfortunately for Lee, such fervour for life was viewed as little more than weird by the other children, causing him to be rejected rather than self secluding.

During his time at the orphanage, there was little Lee loved more than baseball, although one did not look twice to know that he was terrible at the sport. This however did not shake Lee, who persevered through the jeers of his peers to some level of elevated prowess for the game.

With baseball consuming his entire life, most years passed in a complete blur until he was finally torn from the bench of and into the out-field of prominent baseball team, his hard work having caught the eye of coach Maito Gai.

However, he did not have time to revel in his new placement before the infection ravaged the team. As the players died like leaves in late autumn Lee, Tenten and Gai were forced away from the mainland by the team manager who wished to preserve the essence of the team.

Now, on the island, Lee is living with his former teammate Tenten in the same apartment block as his coach and surrogate father Gai. He is yet to find a definite place within the growing society, as a formal baseball league has still not appeared.
